SYNOPSIS

Tirana, June 2007. USA President George W. Bush visits Albania. In the city's Fine Arts Academy and in the Academy of Music, it's time of exams. “We were in Tirana in the same days of Bush's visit. We chose not to speak about it, focusing the subject of the narration on the artistic gesture of students, professors and young scholars dealing with the exams. They appear and disappear one into the other. For us their gesture represent an act of resistance. For this reason Xhodi's Exam is a political film”. Gianluca & Massimiliano De Serio.

ARTIST’S BIOGRAPHY

Gianluca e Massimiliano De Serio were born in Turin in 1978. Massimiliano earned his master in Art critic at the Turin University. He is now writing his PhD in Aesthetics, Science and Technology of Arts at Paris VIII University. Gianluca earned his master in Cinema History and Critic in Turin.
Their education influenced very deeply not only the process and results of their work, but also the fields in which they are active, from the sphere of cinema and international film festivals, to the artistic circuits of galleries and museums. They have been working together since 1999.
