Mondmanns Faden / Moonman’s Thread
[ 2007, 14'00'' ]

SYNOPSIS
A Chinese legend tells that the man beyond the moon ties a thread around every newborn child's toe and binds the thread to another child somewhere in the world. Mondmanns Faden (the threads of the man beyond the moon) shows scenes from the life of a woman in Hoima (Uganda) and of a woman in Berlin. The women are situated in different places, still their lives are connected.
The film was produced in an experimental process: first it was shot in Uganda and then, starting from this material, the story of the film was developed in Berlin.
