SYNOPSIS

Per, 03:30-7:30 noen gang i mars 1998 is a performance by Jannicke Låker where the audience is taken on a bus ride to the ouskirts of Malmö. The event in the performance is based on a genuine person and situation. The story has been processed and is being described through the charachter’s physical condition. The surroundings are partly authentic; ‘An early morning in the outskirts of civilisation in sweden some time in march 1998’. The performance took place 29 February and 1 & 2 March, 6:30 in the morning. The audience met up at the performance studio in Malmö and were served breakfast and coffee and then taken on a 7 minute bus ride to the outskirts of the city. The performance was a planned and arranged scene where the audience were taken on a safari to observer a happening about vulnerability and helplessness -where the civilized meets the uncivilized.

ARTIST’S BIOGRAPHY

Jannicke Låker was born in Drammen Norway in 1968. Currently she lives and works in Berlin.
She studied at the Academy of Fine Art Trondheim Norway, at the Royal Academy of Fine Art Copenhagen Denmark and video at the Royal Academy of Fine Art in Stockholm Sweden.
Kunstlerhaus Bethanien Berlin Germany. In 2007 she had solo exhibitions at Langenhagen Kunstverrein Hannover, Rom for Kunst and Arkitektur in Oslo, and Underdager Hordaland Kunstsenter in Bergen. Her work was also included in selected exhibitions. Among the most recent are Norwegians in Berlin at National Library Oslo, Temporarily Disconnected at CCS Bards Hessel Museum of Art New York and Women Filmakers The Pinapple Videobar Supermarket Stockholm.
