Paz A. Guevara

Born 1976 in Santiago, Chile, she lives in Berlin. Paz A. Guevara has curated numerous shows including “After the Light: Moving Image displayed at Night“ (Radialsystem, Berlin 2008); “TV. Room” (Cultural Centre at the President Palace, Santiago 2006) and “Videocracy” (Video and New Media Biennale, Santiago 2005). She has directed 35 video interviews for her project the “Living Archive”, documenting video artists from many countries and compiling the interviews for the Documentation Centre in Chile. The “Living Archive” has been exhibited in Chile, Belgium and Germany and continues to include more video artists. Paz A. Guevara coordinated and moderated the Curators’ Workshop for the 5th Berlin Biennial. Beginning in 2005 she has worked at the KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin researching and assisting the production of the exhibitions “Iraqi Equation”, “Into Me/Out of Me” and 5th Berlin Biennial. Paz A. Guevara moved to Berlin in 2004 to pursue a PhD from the Humboldt University with a thesis about curatorial discourse.
